Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between RGB and HSL?
RGB (Red, Green, Blue) describes colours by their component channels (0–255 each). HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) describes colours in terms of hue angle (0–360°), saturation (0–100%), and lightness (0–100%). HSL is more intuitive for designers creating colour schemes.
What is a complementary colour?
A complementary colour is the colour directly opposite on the colour wheel (hue + 180°). Complementary colours create high contrast and are often used together in design.
